In support of Domestic Violence Awareness, The Mary Kay FoundationSM announced today it is awarding $3 million in grants to 150 domestic violence shelters across the country. St. Jude House has received a $20,000 unrestricted grant to support local survivors of domestic violence in Crown Point, IN. This year’s grant contribution brings the Foundation’s total investment in its shelter grant program to $50 million.

The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana today announced that it has received a donation of $30,410 from the Porter County Fair. The donation includes a portion of proceeds from concert ticket sales and fair attractions, as well as the results of an auction featuring a musical experience in Las Vegas and items from the 2018 concert headliners.
This morning First Merchants Bank visited Opportunity Enterprises Porter County Respite house for a second time, celebrating their donated installment of a brand new commercial grade washer and dryer.
Opportunity Enterprises has seven group homes, respite homes in both Porter and Lake County, an apartment building with twenty leaseholders, alongside their three campus buildings.
